Sting Operation Nets Arrests of 3 Suspects for Child Sexual Exploitation

NEWARK, CA — A multi-agency sting operation involving child sexual exploitation resulted in
arrests of three men on April 28.
Newark police announced in a press release that the following suspects arranged to meet with undercover officers posing as minors –
· Martin B. Capati, 31, of Mount View
· Anish N. Dutt, 48, of San Leandro
· Jin Wing, 63, of Fremont
They allegedly communicated with the undercover officers, before traveling to Newark with
the intent of meeting for unlawful sexual activity. Capati, Dutt, and Wing were taken into
custody immediately upon arrival at a pre-arranged location. They were each transported to
Alameda County’s Santa Rita Jail.
Capati, Dutt, and Wing were booked on suspicion of contacting a minor with intent to commit
a felony PC 288.3. No information was available about bond, pending charges and
arraignment of the suspects.
Their arrests culminated from collaboration involving the Southern Alameda County Major
Crimes Task Force. Police from Fremont, Union City, and Menlo Park in San Mateo County,
participated in the sting conducted by Newark PD.
The Northern California Regional Intelligence Center assisted with online digital platform
monitoring and digital forensics. It provided technical support and facilitated the flow of
information between the agencies involved in this sting operation.
