Passenger on Parole Arrested for Narcotics Possession Following Traffic Stop

CYPRESS, CA – Officers with the Cypress Police Department arrested a passenger on narcotics charges late last night following a traffic stop in the area of Blanca Drive and Denni Street. The stop was initiated after officers observed a lit cigarette being thrown from the vehicle’s window.

Upon making contact with the occupants, the passenger identified himself as being on active parole. During a subsequent search of the individual, officers located approximately 2.5 ounces of methamphetamine concealed in his clothing. Further investigation by the officers revealed that the suspect is a convicted drug dealer who was currently out on bail for a separate narcotics sales case at the time of the stop.

The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Orange County Jail. He was booked on charges related to the transportation and possession of narcotics for sale.
