Culver City Man Arrested Following Investigation Into Multiple Pharmacy Burglaries
IRVINE, CA — In May, two pharmacies were burglarized within minutes of each other in the area. During the investigation, detectives identified a suspect and determined that he may have been involved in an additional pharmacy burglary located in San Bernardino County.
Detectives assigned to the Crime Impact Unit subsequently initiated surveillance of the suspect at a residence located in Culver City.
Following the surveillance operation, officers executed a search warrant at the Culver City apartment earlier this morning. The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Michael Antone Hobbs of Culver City, was taken into custody without further incident. Hobbs was subsequently transported and booked into the Orange County Jail on charges of burglary and grand theft in connection with the pharmacy break-ins.
