Good Samaritan Helps Woman Kidnapped by Another Woman in Rancho Cucamonga

A 40-year-old woman has been arrested for kidnapping after a Good Samaritan witnessed her forcefully pulling another woman into a school parking lot.

The incident took place in the 8000 block of Archibald Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga at about 6:41 AM on Monday, June 21, 2021. The female victim told police that the suspect, identified as Bridgette Estrada, was asleep on the sidewalk when the victim walked past her, going southbound along Archibald Avenue. Estrada then began following closely behind the victim before grabbing her by the shirt collar and pulling her in the opposite direction. Estrada continued pulling the victim across the street and into the parking lot of a school.

A Good Samaritan who witnessed the incident while driving by asked the victim if she was alright. “Estrada claimed the victim was her mother who refused to attend a doctor’s appointment,” according to the release. “When the witness called police, Estrada released the victim and fled on foot.”

Officers located the suspect back on Archibald Avenue, walking southbound. She was subsequently arrested and booked into West Valley Detention Center on $250,000 bail.
