Drone Tracking Leads to Swift Arrest of E-Bike Theft Suspect
HUNGTINGTON BEACH, CA – “Bad idea, quick ending.
Last Friday, a suspect cut a lock and took off with a stolen e-bike… but didn’t get far.
HBPD’s Drone as First Responder (DFR) was in the air within minutes, tracking the suspect and guiding officers right to him. The suspect
was detained without incident, and the e-bike was safely returned to its owner.
The suspect was arrested for theft and was also on probation for robbery.
Moral of the story? Crime doesn’t pay in HB”
