Fatal Collision in Fresno: Suspect Reportedly Turns Himself In

FRESNO, CA — “On Monday, April 6, 2026, at approximately 9:00 PM, 22-year-old Timothy Seth Chavez turned himself into a deputy at the Fresno County Jail. The deputy called Fresno Police Department. Fresno Police Officers responded to the Fresno County Jail, detained and transported Chavez to the Fresno Police Department where he was interviewed by detectives.still image from video - courtesy of fresno police department

The investigation revealed that Chavez was the subject responsible for the double fatal traffic collision that occurred at Mckinley and Freeway 41 on Monday April 6, 2026, at approximately 01:57 AM.

Chavez was medically cleared at CRMC prior to being booked for two counts of gross vehicular manslaughter, two counts of felony hit and run, driving on a suspended license and driving without insurance.”
