Fresno Police Identify Suspect in Fatal March 15th Shooting Near Barstow & Blackstone
FRESNO, CA — “On Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 12:32 am, Northwest Policing District officers responded to an apartment complex located near the intersection of Barstow Avenue and Blackstone Avenue for a report of two shooting victims. Officers found 32-year-old Shannon Ivory in the carport, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Officers also located a second 22-year-old male shooting victim on the upstairs landing of the apartment complex, suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Officers and EMS personnel provided first aid to both victims. Both victims were transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. The 22-year-old victim was listed in stable condition. Victim Ivory did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 1:20 am by medical personnel.
Homicide detectives learned that both victims arrived at the location, and a disturbance began between them and another resident of the apartment. During the disturbance, an unknown male associated with the other resident, brandished a firearm and fired several shots at both victims. Detectives were able to identify 21-year-old Jaime Martinez as the person responsible for the shooting. Martinez is currently outstanding, and a PC 187(a) – Murder warrant has been issued for his arrest. Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding Martinez’s whereabouts to contact the Fresno Police Department.
