Yuba City Police Apprehend Armed Juvenile Following Reports at Hillcrest Park
YUBA CITY, CA — March 23rd 2026 — “🚨 YCPD Swing Shift Officers Safely Apprehend Armed Juvenile 🚨
‘Last week, Swing Shift officers responded to Hillcrest Park following reports of individuals brandishing firearms. Upon arrival, officers located one of the suspects near Lincoln Road and Bunce Avenue. The individual fled on foot, leading officers on a short pursuit before being safely taken into custody. Officers also identified indicators of gang affiliation during the investigation.
The juvenile was found in possession of a loaded handgun and was booked into Juvenile Hall on charges related to weapons possession and resisting arrest.
This marks the second time this month that Yuba City Police officers have taken a firearm off the streets involving a juvenile.”
