Six Face Charges in Fatal Shooting of 18-year-old Fresno Man

FRESNO, CA — “On Sunday, November 16, 2025, around 11:30 PM, Southwest Policing District officers were dispatched to the area of Marks Avenue and McKinley Avenue regarding an unresponsive male. When officers arrived, they located 18-year-old Karim Williams lying on the roadway, suffering from a gunshot wound. Responding officers rendered medical aid, however, Victim Williams was pronounced deceased at the scene.

On March 12, 2026, several Law Enforcement Officers with the Fresno Police Department, Multi Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium (MAGEC), United States Marshals Service, and Tulare County Sheriff’s Department served multiple search and arrest warrants in Fresno and Tulare Counties related to this investigation. The following suspects were all arrested for the charges of murder and robbery: 21-year-old Jaylon Black, 19-year-old Josiah Rogers, a 17–year-old juvenile, and a 14-year-old juvenile. Two additional suspects, 20-year-old Kwame Pree and 20-year-old Jaymari Sconiers were already in custody on unrelated charges, and the same charges were added to them. Homicide Detectives determined the motive for the murder was robbery of a firearm that was later recovered.

Although arrests have been made, the investigation remains ongoing.
