Woman Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Minor and Biting Officer at Bay Street Shopping Center

EMERYVILLE, CA — A woman was arrested on March 10 for allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old
boy and biting a Emeryville officer.
Jennifer L. Jackson, 39, of Oakland remains in custody at Alameda County Santa Rita Jail ineligible for release on bond.
The incident occurred at the Bay Street Emeryville shopping center. “Police were dispatched
at 4:15 p.m. to reports of woman physically accosting a minor,” according to a prepared
statement from Emeryville police.
Responding officers determined the boy was physically assaulted during a verbal dispute.
The juvenile sustained minor injuries, but he did not require hospitalization.
“When officers attempted to take the suspect into custody, she became combative and
resisted arrest. During the struggle, the suspect bit an officer on the arm, breaking the skin.
The officer was treated at a local medical facility for the injury and has since been released.”
Jackson was detained after police restored order at the shopping center. She was booked
on suspicion of the following charges –
· Felony assault on a child PC 273(D)
· Battery on a peace officer PC 243(C)(2)
· Resisting an officer PC 148(A)(1)
Jackson allegedly caused damage of great monetary value during another recent incident
involving juveniles. Jackson has prior arrests on her record involving sexual battery with
restraint, lewd act upon a child, battery, assault, and domestic violence.
