Probation Compliance Check Leads to Seizure of Weapons and Narcotics in Desert Hot Springs
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA — On March 4, 2026, at approximately 10:00 a.m., the East Post Release Accountability and Compliance Team (PACT) performed a probation compliance check in the 66000 block of 8th Street of Desert Hot Springs. These checks are conducted by PACT units to verify that individuals currently on probation are adhering to the specific terms mandated by the court.
During the course of the compliance check, officers discovered and seized several items from the residence. The recovery included seven firearms and three suppressors. In addition to the weapons, law enforcement personnel located multiple rounds of ammunition. Officers also found and seized 9.87 grams of methamphetamine during the operation.
The Post Release Accountability and Compliance Team is tasked with monitoring individuals on probation and taking enforcement action when court-ordered conditions are not met. This proactive enforcement is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to maintain community safety. Following the discovery of the firearms and narcotics, the team proceeded with the necessary investigative and legal steps associated with the recovery of these items.
