“Yesterday evening, shortly before 10:00 p.m., Officers were dispatched to the 7-11 store located in the 9800 block of Magnolia Avenue for a robbery that had just occurred.
During the incident, the suspect attacked the store clerk and threw a brick through a window after stealing merchandise.
Officers quickly arrived and located the suspect fleeing on foot about a block away from the 7-11. The officers pursued the suspect and safely took him into custody a short distance away.
Jared Chee, a 34-year-old homeless man from Riverside, was arrested and booked into jail for robbery, felony vandalism, and resisting arrest. He is currently being held on $35,000 bail.”
