ANTIOCH — A man was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure at a bus stop in Antioch, near
Buchanan Road and Delta Fair Boulevard.
Armando Cruz-Castro, 54, of Pittsburg, was taken into custody by Antioch officers on March 3.
His arrest resulted from a report made by an 18-year-old woman. She told police the man first drove
passed her several times while she walking to the bus stop. The incident happened between 7:45 a.m.
and 8:15 a.m.
After the woman arrived at the bus stop the man parked his car nearby. He walked to a bench, sat
down next to the woman, and he began masturbating, according to the police report.
Detectives tracked Cruz-Castro to a residence in Pittsburg, where Antioch officers placed him under
arrest a few hours later. Cruz-Castro was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility on suspicion of
indecent exposure PC 314.1. He was released from custody on $5,000 bond.
The investigation of the bus stop incident remains active and Antioch police are seeking witnesses.
The suspect, later identified as Cruz-Castro, was wearing a light-colored baseball cap, an orange zip-
up sweatshirt, and blue/green pajamas. The suspect vehicle is a tan 2000 Toyota Avalon.
Incidentally, Castro-Cruz has a prior 2018 misdemeanor conviction for a similar violation in Contra
Costa County. Subsequent convictions for the same offense can be charged as a felony. His case is
under review for potential charges to be filed.
Investigators believe there may be additional witnesses or individuals who experienced similar
