Kings County Authorities Reportedly Locate Stolen Utility Trailer; Suspect Arrested

KINGS COUNTY, CA — “On Tuesday, January 13th, 2026, a Kings County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was dispatched to the area near 11th and Elder Avenues for a suspicious enclosed utility trailer found in an orchard. Upon arrival, the Deputy determined the trailer was owned by the County of Kings and used by Public Health.

At this point, the Public Health employee was unaware the trailer had been stolen the night before. The stolen trailer was returned to Public Health. It was also determined the trailer door was pried open and several items were stolen.

Utilizing surveillance footage from nearby businesses, the Deputy was able to identify the vehicle used in the trailer theft as well as a possible suspect. After authoring several search warrants, the Deputy was able to positively identify the suspect as 43-year-old Alexander Renteria.

Alexander Renteria was ultimately arrested and booked into the Kings County Jail for the following charges: VC 10851(a), Stolen Vehicle, PC 487(a), Grand Theft, PC 459, Burglary, and PC 594(a)(2), Felony Vandalism.”
