ANTIOCH, CA — Jamir B. Wilson, a 26-year-old man with ties to Antioch and Pittsburg, faces charges
involving a hit-and-run accident causing death.
Wilson was placed under arrest on February 3, while search warrants were executed at residences in both cities.
Wilson was taken into custody that day at 8:21 a.m., without further incident. “Investigators also
recovered evidence from both locations,” Antioch police said in a prepared statement.
Wilson remains in custody in lieu of $150,000 bond, at the West County Detention Facility in
Richmond. Wilson was booked on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, and
fleeing the scene of an accident that causes injury or death.
Police found the victim Jean Flores, 17, fatally injured on January 23. She was lying on the side of L
Street, between West 18th and West 10th streets. The girl’s spine was broken and she was
pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy report confirmed she died as a result of being hit by a
vehicle.
The victim was reportedly walking home from a relative’s home, when the fatal accident occurred. It
happened near Antioch High School, but she was not a student there.
Despite an arrest being made the fatal accident remains under investigation. Anyone with information
can contact Antioch PD. Contact detective Robert Ibanez at 925-481-8398, or officer James Desiderio
