San Jose Police Arrest Man in Connection with Vehicle Shooting
SAN JOSE, CA — JANUARY 23RD 2026
“Last night, Officers responded to a road rage incident that ended with the victim’s vehicle being shot and the suspect fleeing the scene. The SJPD Real Time Intelligence Center (RTIC) immediately jumped into action to assist Patrol Officers in locating the armed driver. By reviewing Public Safety Camera footage and utilizing Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) cameras, RTIC analysts quickly identified the suspect vehicle.
Patrol Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Two subjects were detained, and during a subsequent search of the vehicle, Officers recovered a firearm. The driver, who was prohibited from owning firearms, was arrested for multiple firearm-related crimes.”
