Fairfield Man Arrested in Connection with Multiple Alleged Incidents
FAIRFIELD, CA — “Recently, Fairfield Police officers responded to a series of incidents involving the same suspect and, through coordinated and diligent investigative work, brought the situation to a swift and safe resolution.
Just after 8:10 am, on December 28, officers responded to an attempted robbery at a local bakery in the 1100 block of Texas Street, where a man threatened employees with a knife before fleeing on foot (after employees valiantly fought him off with large baking sheets).
A short time later, officers were dispatched to a separate call involving a man matching the same description, who was damaging vehicles and making threats in the area.
Officers quickly connected the incidents, located the suspect, and took him into custody following a brief foot pursuit.
Further investigation confirmed the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Akeem Web of Fairfield, was also responsible for a commercial burglary that occurred earlier that morning. He was arrested without further incident and faces multiple felony charges.
We commend our officers for their rapid response, strong investigative follow-through, and teamwork, which led to a positive outcome and helped ensure the safety of our community.”
