Juvenile Driver Arrested for Felony Evading, DUI After Wrong-Way Crash
CARLSBAD, CA — December 12th 2025 — ” At about 1:00 a.m., Officer Bocanegra attempted to stop a wrong way driver on Carlsbad Boulevard. Instead of yielding, the driver took off at a high rate of speed.
Moments later, the car lost control and crashed into a guardrail. The driver, ran from the scene but was taken into custody a short distance away. The driver, a juvenile, was arrested for felony evading, felony reckless driving, felony DUI and possession of ammunition as a prohibited person.
As we head into a busy weekend of holiday parties, this incident is a reminder of how quickly reckless choices can put lives at risk.
