Three Suspects Arrested in Connection with Semi-Truck and Trailer Thefts in Live Oak

LIVE OAK, CA — Authorities have made three arrests in connection with the theft of a semi-truck and trailer that occurred in early August. On August 3, 2025, deputies responded to a report concerning a stolen semi-truck and trailer from a property situated on Larkin Road in Live Oak. The trailer, reported to be carrying approximately 400,000$ worth of product, was subsequently located abandoned and empty by the Woodland Police Department. The Sacramento Police Department later recovered the semi-truck within its jurisdiction. Later that month, on August 25, deputies responded to an attempted theft of a truck and trailer on Paseo Road.

The suspects fled the scene following a confrontation with the vehicle’s owner. Based on descriptions provided, deputies formed the opinion that the same individuals were likely involved in both the August 3rd incident and potentially other thefts in nearby areas.

Through the use of investigative techniques and surveillance, detectives successfully identified three suspects: Rajbir Singh and Karanjit Singh, both of Manteca, and Gautam Ajrawat of Sacramento. On November 25, 2025, detectives executed search and arrest warrants at residences located in both Manteca and Sacramento. Karanjit Singh and Gautam Ajrawat were taken into custody and booked on charges of grand theft and conspiracy.

During the execution of the search warrant in Manteca, several illegal firearms, including a fully automatic AR-15 style rifle, were recovered. All firearm-related charges stemming from this recovery were subsequently forwarded to the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office. The third suspect, Rajbir Singh, was located and arrested on December 9, 2025, with assistance provided by the Modesto Police Department.

He was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail on charges of grand theft and conspiracy and is currently awaiting extradition proceedings to Sutter County. The investigation into these incidents remains active and ongoing.
