Traffic Stop for Excessive Speed Leads to Firearm Arrest in Desert Hot Springs
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA — “On the evening of 11/21/25, officers observed a vehicle traveling over 100 mph on Palm Drive. A traffic enforcement stop was conducted, and the driver was found to have a suspended license. During a search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded, concealed firearm.
The driver was arrested for possession of the firearm, reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, and speeds exceeding 100 mph. The driver was later booked into county jail.
