Pedestrian in Wheelchair Dies Following Collision with Truck on Yosemite Boulevard
MODESTO, CA – On the evening of Thursday, November 6, 2025, officers from the Modesto Police Department responded to a major injury traffic collision on Yosemite Boulevard, west of Santa Cruz Avenue, at approximately 8:46 p.m.
Preliminary information released by the department indicates that the collision involved a pedestrian in a wheelchair and a Toyota Tacoma truck. The pedestrian was reportedly traveling northbound across Yosemite Boulevard when she was struck by the truck, which was traveling westbound on Yosemite Boulevard.
The pedestrian sustained major injuries in the incident and was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment. However, authorities were notified the following morning that the pedestrian had succumbed to her injuries.
The Modesto Police Department Traffic Safety Unit has assumed responsibility for the investigation into the collision. No additional information regarding the circumstances of the crash, the identity of the pedestrian, or the status of the Toyota Tacoma driver was available for release at the time of the announcement. The investigation remains active.
