Four Individuals Cited for Illegal Clamming, 93 Undersized Pismo Clams Recovered

PRISMO BEACH, CA — “On Friday, October 31st, four individuals were cited for illegal clamming activity following a call for service. Only one person had a valid fishing license, and they knowingly violated the regulations. Three individuals were cited for clamming without a license. All four were cited for possession of undersized clams. A total of 93 undersized Pismo clams were recovered and reburied by our officer.

We appreciate the vigilance of the CalFire personnel who reported the violations. Let’s continue working together to protect our coastal resources by preserving our beaches and marine life.”
