It was late on the night of September 23, when Ventura County Sheriff’s Department
received a call for service that reported “a man inside a vehicle committing lewd acts.”
According to VCSD spokesman Det. Schaum Song, the suspect then reportedly “got out of the
car and continued his behavior” even after realizing he’d been seen.
During the on-site investigation of the reported incident, patrol deputies gathered a detailed
description of the suspect and his vehicle.
Over the next month, Camarillo Investigations bureau
detectives collected and reviewed surveillance footage from nearby commercial area security
cameras.
Through that footage, they identified the suspect as Miguel Morgado, 26, of Oxnard.
A month later, on Oct. 24, detectives located Morgado and placed him under arrest without
incident. He was arrested in 2024 on the same charge.
Morgado was transported to the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility where he
was booked on a charge of indecent exposure, with his bail set at $2,500.
