BRADLEY, CA – The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of a suspect following a response to an attempted residential burglary in the community of Bradley on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.
At approximately 11:00 AM, Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a report of a burglary in progress along the 65000 block of Bradley Road. The victim, a female resident, reported that an individual was attempting to gain entry into her home through a window while she was inside with her infant child. The victim exited the residence with her child and hid on the property to contact authorities.
A neighbor responded to the scene after being alerted by the victim’s husband. The neighbor made contact with the subject at the residence, and the individual subsequently left the area.
Sheriff’s Deputies requested assistance from the California Highway Patrol (CHP). CHP units arrived on the scene and located an individual and a vehicle near a nearby bridge. Deputies confirmed that the victim was safe and that no person remained inside the residence.
With identification assistance provided by the neighbor, the subject and vehicle located by CHP were positively identified as the person who attempted to break into the residence. Junior Trino Godinez, 33, of Pacoima, California, was taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, Mr. Godinez was found to be in possession of a loaded and concealed firearm.
Mr. Godinez was subsequently booked into the Monterey County Jail on charges of attempted burglary, possession of a concealed firearm, and violation of probation terms.
