Madera Man Arrested for Allegedly Entering Home and Attempting to Sexually Assault Underage Girl
MADERA, CA — “On Saturday, October 18th, 2025, at around 3:00 AM, the Madera Police Department received a 911 call reporting an unknown male inside a residence. Upon arrival, officers observed a male subject fleeing on foot from the back of the home. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended and identified as 43-year-old Hilario Morales-Santiago of Madera.
The investigation revealed that Morales-Santiago unlawfully entered the residence and attempted to commit a sexual act on a young female juvenile. The victim displayed tremendous courage and bravery, waking up to find the suspect in her room, immediately yelling for him to leave, and promptly calling the police.
Due to the quick and coordinated response of patrol officers, Morales-Santiago was apprehended near the scene and positively identified. He was booked into Madera County Jail on two felony charges. Morales-Santiago is known to the Madera Police Department through previous, similar investigations.
Given the nature of this case and the suspect’s history, the Madera Police Department believes there may be additional victims.
