Police Seek Additional Information After Arrest in Murrieta Sexual Offense Case
MURRIETA, CA — “On October 8, 2025, the Murrieta Police Department received a report of a possible sexual offense involving a teenage minor and 37-year-old Joshua Richie of Murrieta.
During the course of the investigation, detectives determined that Richie had violated California Penal Code 647.6(a)(1) – annoying or molesting a child under the age of 18, and 243.4(e)(1) – sexual battery.
On October 10, 2025, Richie was arrested and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for the listed offenses. The investigation remains active, and detectives believe there may be additional victims.
