Traffic Stop Leads to Multiple Arrests, Three Loaded Firearms, and Methamphetamine Seizure
WINTERHAVEN,CA — “On October 15, 2025, at approximately 1940 hours deputies assigned to the Winterhaven Sub-Station noticed a black Hyundai Elantra driving on the wrong side of the roadway. Deputies conducted an enforcement traffic stop on the vehicle.
Deputies contacted four occupants and engaged in conversation regarding the reason for the stop. Deputies noticed abnormal behaviors from the occupants of the vehicle and asked them to step out. While conducting a pat-down for weapons of the driver, Deputies discovered a loaded firearm on his person. A further investigation revealed an occupant in possession of another loaded firearm and methamphetamine. A search of the vehicle was conducted which revealed a third loaded firearm and more methamphetamine. A criminal records check showed one of the occupants was a prior convicted felon with prior weapon offenses.
Two subjects were booked in the Imperial County Jail for weapons and drug related offenses and two subject were issues a citation for weapon related offenses”
