Redding Man Arrested for Allegedly Driving Drunk & Causing Traffic Collision
REDDING, CA — “On October 12, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., Redding Police Officers responded to a traffic collision involving multiple vehicles and a pedestrian at the intersection of South Market Street and Grange Street in south Redding.
The investigation determined that Evan Hall, 25 years old, was driving southbound on South Market Street when he rear-ended another vehicle. Hall then accelerated into the parking lot of the Fast Stop gas station and collided head-on with an occupied vehicle parked at a gas pump. He continued accelerating forward, pushing the second vehicle backward, then rapidly reversed, striking another vehicle and a pedestrian.
Several bystanders intervened and removed Hall from his vehicle, ending the incident. Officers quickly arrived and detained Hall, who showed clear signs of impairment. A DUI investigation determined he was nearly four times the legal limit for alcohol consumption.
Several involved parties sustained minor injuries. Hall was arrested and booked at the Shasta County Jail for felony hit-and-run and driving under the influence, causing injury.
