“On Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 0142 hours, deputies from the South County Patrol Station were dispatched to the area of 4645 Two Feathers Road in West Cottonwood, California, for the reported shooting.
When deputies arrived, they located Ciaara Robberson, 19 years of age, from Redding, California and Isaac Patino, 22 years of age, from McKinleyville, California suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. They were transported to a local hospital where Patino succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. Robberson is expected to survive and is still being treated for her injuries sustained during the shooting. The Shasta County Major Crimes Unit was contacted and ultimately took over the investigation.
When detectives arrived at the location, they discovered the property was being used as a marijuana growing operation. There were several makeshift outbuildings and a dilapidated travel trailer that appeared uninhabitable where Patino was ultimately located by deputies. The marijuana operation had already been processed and removed from the property prior to this incident.
