Four Arrested for Alleged Burglary, Grand Theft in Cloverdale

CLOVERDALE, CA — “On September 30, 2025, at approximately 9:35 a.m., a Cloverdale Police Department sergeant received a phone call from two City of Cloverdale Public Works employees reporting suspicious activity. The employees stated they had observed two subjects running from a residential neighborhood before entering a waiting black SUV, which fled the area at a high rate of speed. One of the subjects was seen wearing a face mask.

Officers immediately responded to the area but did not locate any obvious signs of a crime. A short time later, the sergeant was advised that the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office was following a vehicle matching the description provided. During this time, a Cloverdale officer also reported that a “Be On the Lookout” (BOLO) notice had been issued the previous day by Mendocino County authorities for a similar vehicle suspected of involvement in a burglary.

The vehicle’s license plate was entered into the FLOCK camera system, which confirmed a positive match to the SUV seen in Cloverdale. Sonoma County Sheriff’s Dispatch was notified of the circumstances reported by the Public Works employees. Shortly thereafter, Cloverdale Police Dispatch received a call of a residential burglary in the same neighborhood where the suspicious vehicle had been observed.

At this point, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office had stopped the suspect vehicle and detained four subjects. During the investigation, officers discovered identifiable property belonging to the victim of the Cloverdale burglary inside the vehicle. All four subjects were arrested and booked by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.

Cloverdale Police Department also arrested the suspects on the following charges:

  • 459 PC – Burglary
  • 182(a)(1) PC – Conspiracy to Commit a Crime
  • 487(a) PC – Grand Theft

Through the Sheriff’s Office investigation, it was further determined that the suspects were members of a South American Theft Group (SATG) believed to be responsible for multiple burglaries throughout Sonoma and Mendocino Counties.”
