Mountain View Police Arrest S.F. Woman for Allegedly Driving Drunk, Striking Pedestrian

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA  — “On Sunday, Aug. 31, at approximately 9:47 p.m., Mountain View Police officers were dispatched to the area of W. El Camino Real and Miramonte Avenue in response to a reported vehicle versus a pedestrian collision.

Upon arrival, responding officers and the City of Mountain View Fire Department personnel provided medical aid to the 64-year-old, Mountain View resident, who was then transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Responding officers contacted the driver of the vehicle, who remained on scene. Officers investigated the collision and placed the driver under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.

The suspect, Eva Lerner, a 23-year-old female resident from San Francisco, was booked into the Santa Clara County main jail for one count of California Vehicle Code 23153(a) driving under the influence causing injury.”
