Multiple People Injured in Culver City Traffic Collision; Driver Arrested for DUI

CULVER CITY, CA — A motorist was arrested for allegedly driving drunk and colliding with several parked vehicles, injuring multiple people.

According to a press release by the Culver City Police Department, officers responded to the site of a major traffic collision near Canterbury Drive and Green Valley Circle on the afternoon of Sunday, August 3.

The collision reportedly involved an adult male driver who had struck multiple parked vehicles.

The driver remained at the scene and was evaluated for non-life-threatening injuries. He was later transported to a local hospital, police said.

Several individuals were reportedly injured as a result of the collision. A female adult standing near a parked vehicle sustained serious injuries, and an adult male and a child inside one of the struck vehicles suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Everyone who had been injured was taken to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Investigators say the driver was traveling northbound on Canterbury Drive when the collision occurred.

Upon release from the hospital, the driver was arrested and booked at the Culver City jail on suspicion of driving under the influence. Their name has not been released.
