Robbery Suspect Was Already Wanted on Two Felony Warrants, Authorities Say
HILMAR, CA — “On July 24, 2025, at 10:44 a.m., our dispatch received a call of a silent alarm for a robbery in progress at the Westamerica Bank in Hilmar. Deputies arrived on the scene within minutes and located the suspect, identified as 58-year-old Randy Casey, waiting outside the bank.
During the investigation, it was discovered that Randy walked into the bank and provided a note to a teller, threatening that he had a bomb and demanding money.
No bomb or bomb materials were located on his person at the time of the incident, and no injuries were reported. Casey was arrested on two felonies for attempted robbery and falsely reporting a bomb.
Additionally, he was booked on an active felony warrant from a previous robbery in Modesto.”
