WATERFORD, CA — Authorities in Stanislaus County have reportedly arrested a Stockton man for the alleged sexual abuse of a juvenile victim.
According to a press release by the Sheriff’s Office, deputies with Waterford Police Services began a child sexual abuse investigation after a 15-year-old victim came forward with allegations against an adult male she had met through social media.
The victim reported that she would sneak out of her house at night to meet the suspect and that they had engaged in “sexual encounters,” authorities said.
Waterford Police Services detectives on the case soon identified the suspect as Enrique Orozco Guzman, 29, of Stockton. On Tuesday, July 22, authorities arrested Orozco while he was allegedly attempting to meet a second victim.
During a subsequent interview, Guzman reportedly admitted to having had sexual contact with the victim. Investigators reportedly also found incriminating videos on Orozco’s phone.
Orozco was ultimately booked at the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor, oral copulation, possession of child pornography, manufacturing child pornography, and distribution of child pornography.
The investigation is ongoing, the sheriff’s office said.
