Man Arrested for Organized Retail Thefts of Sneakers

LIVERMORE, CA — One man has been arrested and Livermore police are seeking a second man
in connection with organized retail thefts.

These thefts occurred recently at San Francisco Premium Outlets located in Livermore.

Police recovered 48 pairs of stolen sneakers with nearly a $5,800 retail value.

Jordy M. Rojas, 31, of Los Angeles, was booked at Alameda County Santa Rita Jail on June
24.

The second suspect is identified as Diego Davila-Jimenez, 33, who last known address is
in Los Angeles.

“A man was seen running with shopping bags full of merchandise and getting into a vehicle,” a mall security guard witnessed the thefts, Livermore police said in a prepared statement.

The security guard attempted to speak with two men inside the vehicle. However, the driver
sped away, but the guard was able to provide police with a description of the vehicle.

Livermore officers found the vehicle parked behind a nearby church. Officers recovered the
stolen sneakers from inside the vehicle –

· 28 pairs of Nike shoes
· 12 pairs of New Balance shoes
· 8 pairs of Sketchers shoes

Police placed Rojas under arrest shortly afterwards, and later identified Davila-Jimenez as the
second suspect. Charges subsequently filed against Rojas and Davila-Jimenez include –
* Organized retail theft
* Second degree commercial burglary
* Grand theft
* Receiving stolen property
