Suspect Arrested in Colton Homicide Investigation Following Fatal Shooting on Placentia Lane
COLTON, CA —
“UPDATED INFORMATION/SUSPECT ARRESTED
On June 16, 2025, at approximately 5:00 AM, Colton Police Officers responded to the 3600 block of Placentia Lane in Colton reference reports of a subject shot. Upon arrival, patrol officers located a victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by Colton Fire Department personnel.
Colton Police Department Detectives responded to assume the investigation. The Colton Police Department Detectives identified Anthony Anguiano, as the suspect in the murder of Kristian Gutierrez. A Ramey Arrest Warrant was obtained for Anguiano’s arrest.
On June 25, 2025, Colton Police Department Detectives, with assistance from the Riverside Police Department, located Anguiano in the 2700 block of 5th Street in the City of Riverside. He was taken into custody by Riverside Police Department without incident. Anguiano was subsequently booked into the West Valley Detention Center on a charge of murder, and is being held without bail.
