STOCKTON, CA  — June 13th, 2025 “Today, the Stockton Police Department, in collaboration with the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office, held a press conference to announce the success of Operation White Noise—a months-long, multi-agency investigation aimed at combating gang violence in our community.

This comprehensive operation led to the dismantling of a violent criminal network involved in homicides, drug trafficking, human trafficking, and other serious crimes affecting the safety and well-being of our residents.
Key results of Operation White Noise include:

  • 21 total arrests
  • 22 firearms seized
  • 3 individuals arrested in connection to 5 homicides, including two 17-year-olds
  • A significant quantity of illicit drugs confiscated

Our efforts to combat crime have led to significant progress:

  • Homicides have decreased by 35%, with 17 incidents year to date compared to 26 during the same period last year.
  • Injury shootings have also decreased by 13%, with 45 incidents year to date compared to 52 last year, highlighting the effectiveness of our intervention strategies.
  • Proactive measures have resulted in an impressive 57% increase in firearm seizures, with 420 firearms confiscated this year, compared to 268 last year.
  • In total, we have made over 1,300 felony arrests and more than 2,000 misdemeanor arrests, leading to nearly 3,500 arrests.

This outcome would not have been possible without the tireless dedication of our detectives and the strong collaboration between local, state, and federal partners. We extend our gratitude to all agencies involved for their commitment to making Stockton a safer place.

‘This victory belongs not only to law enforcement but also to every vigilant member of our community who has supported us, along with the new supporters who have joined us since the launch of our ‘See Something, Say Something” initiative on March 17th’ – Stanley McFadden, Chief of Police

We also want to thank our community for their continued support and vigilance. To those who Saw Something and Said Something — your actions make a difference.

Together, we are making strides toward a safer, stronger Stockton.”
