“On April 15, 2022, at about 10:333 AM, the Tracy Police Department Communications Center began receiving 911 calls regarding a robbery at a local bank (1000 block of North Central Avenue). Officers assigned to the patrol division immediately responded to the area.

After ensuring all bank employees were safe, they began investigating a reported bank robbery. Bank employees reported a male subject entered the bank and presented a silver handgun to a teller. The bandit demanded money from the frightened teller. The suspect was able to abscond with an undisclosed amount of U.S currency.

Witnesses provided a vague description of the suspect and the direction in which he fled. Detectives from the General Investigations Unit responded to assist with the investigation. Working closely with our Crime Analysis Unit, our investigators quickly identified Chad Bradbury (31 years old from Bay Point, CA.) as the person responsible for this robbery.

Tracy Police Investigators reached out to other agencies to advise Bradbury was associated with the robbery and could be armed and dangerous. On April 15, 2022, officers from the Danville Police Department located and detained Bradbury. The gun used in the robbery was recovered in Bradbury’s vehicle. Detectives met with Danville Officers to take custody of Bradbury, who was booked into the Contra Costa County main jail. Bradbury was subsequently transferred to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Department for a more long-term stay.”
