Two Juveniles, 16, Arrested for Alleged Robbery, Carjacking in Madera County

MADERA, CA  —  “On June 3, 2025, at approximately 4:11 AM, Madera County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a report of a carjacking at a business near Avenue 12 and Highway 41.

The victim reported being approached by two suspects while at work. The suspects pushed him to the ground, threatened to kill him, and stole his vehicle. A deputy quickly located the stolen vehicle, leading to a pursuit that continued west on Avenue 12 to northbound Highway 99.

The pursuit was handed over to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and was discontinued near Merced. At approximately 10:11 AM, CHP located the vehicle again and initiated a second pursuit, which ended successfully with the arrest of both suspects.

The suspects were identified as two 16-year-old juveniles. They were taken into custody by Madera County Sheriff’s Deputies and booked into Juvenile Hall. Both face felony charges of:

  • Robbery
  • Carjacking
  • Conspiracy

The driver will face an additional charge of:

  • Reckless Evading a Peace Officer
