Four Arrested in San Bernardino County for Alleged Fentanyl Distribution Leading to Minor’s Death

Four Arrested in Connection with Fentanyl Distribution Ring Resulting in Teen’s Death

San Bernardino County, CA: Four individuals have been arrested on federal charges stemming from their alleged roles in a fentanyl distribution ring that led to the death of a minor.

Kevin Lopez, 24, and Jacqueline Carolina Fonseca-Flores, 24, both of Rancho Cucamonga; Brandon Ryan Osika, 22, of Ontario; and Meloney Osika, 24, also of Ontario, were taken into custody on May 7 following a federal indictment.

The indictment charges the defendants with the distribution of fentanyl to a person under the age of 21, resulting in death, among other federal drug offenses, according to the indictment, Lopez, Fonseca-Flores, and Brandon Osika allegedly distributed fentanyl in January 2023 to a victim who consumed the drug and died shortly afterward.

All four defendants appeared before a federal magistrate judge and were ordered held without bond. They have pleaded not guilty to the charges, and a trial date has been set for June 23, 2025.

This case is being investigated by the Fontana Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Assistant United States Attorney Christopher M. Brunwin of the Riverside Branch Office is prosecuting the case. City of Fontana, CA – City Government City of Fontana Police Department”
