Two Arrested on Narcotics Charges After Redding PD Responds to Trespassing Call

REDDING, CA — “On the night of May 4, 2025, at approximately 11:35 p.m., a Redding Police Department officer contacted several individuals trespassing in the area of Hartnell Avenue and Cypress Avenue.
During the investigation, one of the individuals, convicted felon David Shields (40 years old), was found to be on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS). A subsequent search of his belongings revealed a loaded .40 caliber handgun, additional ammunition, scales, and a quantity of narcotics consistent with sales, including fentanyl and methamphetamine.
A second individual, identified as Cierra Mouraux (45 years old), was also found to be in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Both Shields and Mouraux were arrested and booked into Shasta County Jail on multiple felony charges related to weapons and narcotics offenses.”
