“On February 19, 2022, at 2:09 AM, Redding Police Officers responded to an insurance office on Athens Avenue for a burglary alarm.

The officers located a freshly broken window and made entry into the business to search for intruders. Officers located Nicholas Minks (33 years old), of Redding, inside. Minks was disrobed, sitting on a toilet, and holding a knife when contacted by officers.

Minks resisted arrest and was subdued with the use of pepper spray. Minks was booked into the Shasta County Jail for 459 PC – Burglary and 148(a)(1) PC – Resisting, obstructing, and delaying an officer.

Minks was arrested on January 30, 2022, for burglarizing the same business in the same manner.”
