K9 Zidan’s Busy Week Leads to Arrests for Parole Violation and Drug Possession in Amador County
AMADOR COUNTY, CA — ”It’s been a couple busy days for K9 Zidan! On Monday, Zidan responded to The Oaks Mobile Home Park to help deputies arrest a parolee at large who had a history of violence. After the subject fled on foot, Zidan searched the backyard of the residence and found the subject hiding in a garden shed. Zidan quickly apprehended the subject and had no trouble holding him until deputies could take him into custody.
On Tuesday, a deputy conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle and while issuing a citation, Zidan responded to the scene. Zidan conducted a free-air sniff around the vehicle and alerted to the presence of illegal drugs in the vehicle. Deputies searched the vehicle and located almost half a pound of methamphetamine hidden inside. The driver of the vehicle was arrested for possession of methamphetamine for sale.
Zidan has worked for the Amador County Sheriff’s Office for over six years and is a valuable member of our patrol division. Please say hello to Zidan if you see him out and about!”
