Graffiti Vandalism Arrests

THOUSAND OAKS, CA –  April 12, 2025  – Gang-related graffiti in a residential neighborhood was reported earlier this month.

The residential neighborhood of West Hillcrest Drive in the City of Thousand Oaks.

According to Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Sr. Deputy Robert Curiel, the vandalism occurred on
“the walls of private apartment buildings and resulted in more than $2,000 in property damage.”

Detectives from the VCSD East County Special Enforcement Unit, identified Brahin
Valencia, 29, of Thousand Oaks, and a 16-year-old male juvenile, also from Thousand Oaks, as
suspects. Once identified, both men were determined to be on active probation at the time of the
investigation.

On April 11, 2025, probation searches were conducted at the residences of both suspects and detectives located additional evidence linking the suspects to the graffiti vandalism.
Valencia was arrested and booked into the Ventura County Main Jail on charges of contributing
to the delinquency of a minor and graffiti and street terrorism. His bail was set at $210,000.

The juvenile was cited on similar charges and released pending court proceedings.
