Glenn County District Attorney Announces Updates to Recent Court Cases
GLENN COUNTY, CA — “People vs. Robles-Gomez, Ramiro—Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 664/187 (Attempted Willful, Deliberate, and Premeditated Murder) with use of deadly weapon and great bodily injury. Defendant was sentenced to 12 years state prison. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff’s Deputy Turner.
People vs Piceno, Alex – Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code 273a(a) (Child Abuse Likely to Cause Great Bodily Harm/Death). Defendant was sentenced to 2 years in State Prison. The case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from CHP Officer Pozzi.
People vs. Stevens, Littleflower—Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Health & Safety code 11378(Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale) and in violation of Post Release Community Supervision. Defendant was sentenced to 16 months state prison and 180 days county jail for the violation of PRCS to be served consecutively. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Probation Officer Ortiz.
People vs. Hoxie, Nicholas — Defendant was previously convicted of a misdemeanor violations of Health and Safety Code Sections 11350, 11550 and two counts of 11364, (possession of heroin, being under the influence of an illegal drug and possession of drug paraphernalia). Defendant was placed on probation and ordered to complete drug treatment. Defendant was found in violation of his probation and sentenced to 360 days in jail, probation was permanently revoked. This case was prosecuted by ADA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Probation Officer Chavero.
People vs. Gravelle, Edward — Defendant was previously convicted of a felony violations of Penal Code Sections 29800 and 30305,( being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition). Defendant was sentenced to prison and released on PRCS (Post Release Community Supervision). Defendant was found in violation of his PRCS for the 3rd and 4th time and was sentenced to 300 days in jail. This case was prosecuted by ADA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Probation Officer Ortiz.
People vs. Lee, Adrian — Defendant was convicted of a misdemeanor violation of Health and Safety Code Section 11377 (possession of methamphetamine), a misdemeanor violation of Penal Code Section 484(a) (petty theft) and a misdemeanor violation of Vehicle Code Section 14601.2 (driving on a suspended drivers license due to prior DUI). Defendant was sentenced to 300 days county jail. This case was prosecuted by ADA Coffey with assistance from Sgt. Johnson and Officer Sutton of the Orland Police Department.
People vs. Garibay, Jose—Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Vehicle Code section 23152(a) (Driving Under the Influence), and two violations of probation. Defendant was sentenced to 180 days county jail and 120 days county jail for each violation of probation to be served consecutively. This case was prosecuted by ADA Coffey with assistance from Orland Police Officer Sutton.
People vs. Alvarez-Perez, Sergio — Defendant was previously convicted of a violation of 23152(b) (Driving under the Influnce) and was found in violation of probation in that case. Defendant was also convicted of a misdemeanor violation of Vehicle Code Section 23152(b) (Driving Under the Influence) with a prior. Defendant was sentenced to years of probation, 150 days in county jail with an additional 120 days suspended, in addition the defendant will be ordered to regularly attend AA meetings and report back to court . This case was prosecuted by ADA Coffey with assistance from CHP Officer Henriques.
People vs. Kennedy, Douglas—Defendant was convicted of a felony violations of Penal Code section 69 (Use of violence against a police officer) and a misdemeanor violation of penal code section 242(Battery). Defendant was sentenced to 236 days county jail. This case was prosecuted by ADA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff’s Deputy Goodwin.
People vs. Grijalva, Sarah—Defendant was convicted of a misdemeanor violation of Penal Code section 487(b)(Theft from Employer). Defendant was sentenced to 120 days county jail. This case was prosecuted by ADA Coffey with assistance from Orland Police Officer Lowery.
People vs. Martins, Paul — Defendant was convicted of two misdemeanor violations of Penal Code section 1302(a) (failure to appear in court). Defendant was sentenced to 120 days county jail. This case was prosecuted by ADA Coffey.
People vs. Lopez, Jose—Defendant was convicted of a misdemeanor violation of Health & Safety code 11377(Possession of Controlled Substance). Defendant was sentenced to 120 days county jail. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Orland Police Officer Martindale.
People vs. Abanathie, Joshua—Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 21310 (Possessing a Dirk/Dagger) and two violations of probation. Defendant was sentenced to 120 days county jail. This case was prosecuted by ADA Coffey with assistance from Orland Police Officer Martindale.
People vs Lopez-Elvert, Coby – Defendant was conviction of felony violations of Penal Codel 33210 (Unlawful Possession of Short Barreled Rifle/Shotgun), Penal Code 25400(a)(2) (Carry concealed firearm on person), and Penal Code 25850(a) (Carrying Loaded Firearm on Person/Vehicle in Public). Defendant was sentenced to 2 years formal probation and 120 days in County Jail. The case prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from GCSO Deputy Peterson.
People vs. Koscki, Robert—Defendant was convicted of a violation of probation. It was the Defendant’s first violation. Defendant was sentenced to 120 days county jail. This case was prosecuted by ADA Coffey with assistance from Glenn County Sheriff’s Deputy Partch and Glenn County Probation Officer Barragan.
People vs. Vang, Thomas—Defendant was convicted of a misdemeanor violation of Health & Safety Code section 11377(a) (Possession of Methamphetamine). Defendant was sentenced to 120 days county jail with no probation. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from California Highway Patrol Officer Bryant.
People vs. Spang, Ashley—Defendant was convicted of a felony violation of Penal Code section 529(a)(3)(False Personation) and Penal Code 1320(b) (Failure to Appear). Defendant was sentenced to 120 days county jail. This case was prosecuted by DA Stewart with assistance from Glenn County Investigations and Narcotics Task Force Detective Johnsen.”
