Driver Arrested in Solo Vehicle Collision Had BAC Three Times the Legal Limit, CHP Says

MADERA, CA — The California Highway Patrol recently arrested an 18-year-old motorist for allegedly driving under the influence.
According to a press release, CHP officers responded to a solo vehicle crash in the early morning hours of Thursday, April 3.
Authorities say the driver, 18, had been driving a blue Chevy S-10 pick-up along Lane Drive and lost control of the vehicle at a curve in the road, ultimately crashing into a cinderblock wall.
The driver, who was not injured, reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of three times the legal limit. He was arrested and later booked at the Madera County jail.
His name and exact charges have not been publicly disclosed.
