RAMONA, CA — On the evening of February 17, 2025, 49 year old Rebecca Marodi, was found deceased at her residence, where she lived with her mother in an accessory dwelling unit. The victim exhibited multiple injuries consistent with a stabbing, located on her neck, chest, and back. Earlier that evening, surveillance footage captured an altercation involving Rebecca and her wife, 53 year old Yolanda Olejniczak Marodi, who was later seen leaving the area.
Following the incident, Yolanda crossed into Mexico using her vehicle through the San Ysidro port of entry. On March 22, 2025, Mexican authorities detained Yolanda, and she was subsequently handed over to U.S. Marshals at a U.S. Port of Entry. Yolanda has been arrested and is currently being processed for murder charges.
The case is still under active investigation by the Sheriff’s Homicide Unit as they continue to determine the circumstances and motivations behind the incident.
