WINDSOR, CA — “On January 31, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Sonoma County Sheriff’s dispatch received reports of a burglary in progress at a home in the 500 block of Chablis Drive, Windsor. Deputies responded and found evidence of forced entry, along with surveillance footage capturing three suspects in the house and one suspect driving the vehicle. The case was turned over to the Sheriff’s Office Property Crimes unit for further investigation.
Through their investigation, detectives determined the suspects were part of a South American Theft Group (SATG)-an organized criminal network known for traveling across the United States and targeting victims, mainly Asian business owners. These groups operate with a high level of sophistication, often using disguises, surveillance cameras, and other covert tactics to monitor their victims for extended periods.
With the assistance of the Santa Rosa Police Department, Detectives were able to identify a suspect vehicle linked to the burglary and a residence in the 900 block of Baird Road, Santa Rosa, where the suspects were staying. On February 1, Detectives served a search warrant at the location. All occupants attempted to flee or hide as law enforcement entered but were apprehended. During the search, investigators recovered multiple pieces of evidence related to the burglary.
The following individuals were booked into jail on a variety of felony charges:
• Jeisson Gonzalez-Munoz, 40, Los Angeles
• Brandon Ruez, 24, Los Angeles
• Milton Ruiz-Cardona, 49, Los Angeles (Later identified as Jeison Nieto-Rodriguez, who had a felony warrant out of Orange County)
• Jeisson Rodriguez Solaque, 27, Chico
• Nicolas Duran Cetina, 21, Oakland
• Stefany Nieto Preciado, 25, Los Angeles
• William Patino-Galindo, 22, Transient
A local judge approved bail enhancements, and each suspect is being held on $250,000 bail.”
