On the Black Friday weekend, the Ventura County Organized Retail Theft Task Force made 20 arrest , taking down an organized crime ring.
The massive operation targeting organized retail crime at the Camarillo Premium Outlets.
According to Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Sgt. Baltazar Tapia, the
operation recovered “approximately $9,000 in stolen merchandise, along with
methamphetamine and specialized burglary tools used to facilitate theft.”
Among those arrested on November 29 and 30 were Juan Arbaiza, a 60-year-old from
Los Angeles, 21-year-old North Hills resident Hayk Adamyan, , Burbank
resident Vahram Arshakyam and Los Angeles residents Jesus Edgar Rodriguez Lopez, 24.
Blanca Maribel Rodriguez Barrios, 26, Arsen Dilanian, 38, David Murillo, 18 and Martha
Zamora, 55.
Also arrested were Edelyn Rodriguez Vega, 27, Carson Nye, 19, Dean Hardey, 56 and
Sherzodbeck Sulaimanov, 30. Jenny Aguilar, 42, Esteban Giraldo, 19, Liliana Diaz, 39,
Laury Gonzalez Cuevas, 24, Lorena Buitrago, 37, Guillermo Garcia Duarte, 35, Lance
Yaines, 35, and Crystal Ghourgoian, 35 were all placed under arrest.. All those arrested reported residence
addresses throughout Southern California, from Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa
Barbara Counties.
The multi-agency collaborative effort involved personnel attached to
Ventura County Organized Retail Theft Task Force; Thousand Oaks Police; Camarillo
Police Investigations; Port Hueneme Police; Simi Valley Police, California State
University, Channel Islands Police and the California Highway Patrol and ultimately
netted 20 adult suspects and three juveniles from across Southern California.\
All 20 suspects were transported to Ventura County Jail to face a multiplicity of charges
ranging from conspiracy, misdemeanor retail theft, felony commercial burglary,
possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property, and felony child
endangerment. Bail was set at $20,000 each.
