Motorist Arrested for Alleged DUI, Providing False Name to Officers

The California Highway Patrol recently arrested an individual for allegedly driving under the influence and providing a false name to officers.
According to the CHP’s Merced division, graveyard shift units responded earlier this week to a 9-1-1 call about a possible drunk driver on State Route 99.
Responding officers located the vehicle, allegedly traveling at over 100 miles per hour, and conducted a stop.
The driver allegedly gave a false identity at first. They were also found to have indeed been under the influence.
The driver was arrested and booked on suspicion of driving under the influence, false impersonation, speeding, and having an excessive blood-alcohol content.
